I had a routine mammogram in the summer of 2018 which resulted in surgery on my right breast followed by 15 sessions of Radiotherapy
Initially, I was shocked and fearful of the unknown, then I realised that faith and fear have a basic root principle in their common belief; they both expect that something that hasn’t happened is about to happen, faith to the good fear to the bad!
As I studied the Bible I realised that faith and fear cannot coexist, Hebrews 11:6 ‘Without faith it is impossible to please God’ I decided I was going to surrender all to God and I choose to live by faith not fear.
I put together a prayer (click here to access/download) based on scripture but making the words personal to me.
I realised that the most powerful prayer we can pray is when you say back to God what he has already said to you in and through his sacred eternal word.
I prayed my prayer before every session of Radiotherapy and the results were miraculous, God healed me!
I also received the body and blood of Jesus every day before or after treatment.
I had very little adverse effects from the surgery or the radiotherapy, hardly any soreness and only a small amount of discomfort, I experienced tiredness but it only lasted for around 3 weeks after the Radiotherapy treatment.
My prayer became a living prayer.
Daily upon reciting and meditating upon the words, I was given fresh revelation from the Holy Spirit to add to my prayer!
As I attended the hospital for treatments I met many others who were by far worse off than me.
Recently I have felt prompted to include in the prayer Chemotherapy for others who have to go through these treatments for cancer because I felt I needed to pass my prayer on to others in similar situations.
I pray that if you are in a similar situation, you will be blessed by the prayer and that you make it your own.
